HOW TO MEASURE YOUR FLOOR AREA.
This room is easy to measure, by multiplying measurement "A" by measurement "B".

GETTING MORE TECHNICAL !
If you have an “L” shaped room, imagine and measure them as two areas, then add them together.
|
If a room is even more complicated, seperate it into areas you can measure and add them together. 1+2+3= Floor Area. If measuring to fit carpet for this room, the measurements would be "A" multiplied by "B". MEASURING A HALLWAY
NOW, HOW TO MEASURE YOUR STAIRS AND LANDING !
When measuring the landing it will probably be just like the hallway, but remember, when measuring for carpet you must measure over the top step. Measure “B” for each step and allow approximately 5cm for tucking in. Measure the width of the stairs and count how many steps there are. If there are winders on the stairs it is best to allow 130cm x 130cm for each one. If you have any queries please give YORK FLOORING SUPPLIES a call and we will be happy to help. |
